The Heart of Welkom

Goldfields Mall truly is the Heart of Welkom. But its appeal stretches beyond the greater Welkom and surrounds to attract a population of some 400 000 people, coming from as far afield as Hoopstad, Bultfontein, Kroonstad, Virginia and Hennenman.

During construction of the development and since its opening in October 2010, the mall has boosted the local economy and provides many jobs. Retail Africa, in partnership with Shoprite Checkers and RPP Developments, has developed the Goldfields Mall adjacent to the Goldfields Casino and the building has incorporated the old Joshua Doore retail complex, most of which has been demolished and rebuilt.
